Texas Vape Flavor Ban Will Destroy Businesses and Increase Cigarette Sales
Proposed Texas Flavor Ban Will Destroy Jobs and Increase Cigarette Sales
Vape flavor bans increase cigarette sales. Numerous studies have drawn this connection. Teen vaping is at its lowest level in 10-years. There is no need for a moral panic, especially as the body of scientific evidence in favor of vaping over combustible cigarettes is substantial. Current federal regulations of vaping products have failed, with only a few obsolete tobacco industry e-cigarettes approved.
In the face of this fact pattern, tobacco-industry lobbyists are desperate. A new flavor ban in Texas targets your business and your customers with destruction. S.B. 1182 has not yet been assigned to a committee, but we must act now to ensure it does not move forward.
A similar bill in 2023 failed in the Senate State Affairs Committee, but anti-vape politicians are easily influenced by lobbyists and eager to do their business. As a business owner, your voice carries weight.
